Day 01 :

Kathgodam to Munsiyari (Drive - 290 km, 9-10 hours, 2,200m)

The journey begins with an early morning pickup from Kathgodam, followed by a scenic drive to Munsiyari. The route passes through picturesque locations like Almora, Bageshwar, and Birthi Falls, offering stunning Himalayan views.

Upon arrival in Munsiyari by evening, check into the hotel. The trek leader will conduct a briefing session, providing insights into the trek conditions and challenges. Overnight stay in Munsiyari.

Day 02 :

Munsiyari to Rilkot (Drive - 45 km, 3 hours, 3,130m), Trek to Martoli (3 km, 3,380m)

After a relaxed morning, embark on a drive to Rilkot, a key stop on the Johar Valley route. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch upon arrival. Post-lunch, a short yet scenic 3 km trek leads to Martoli village (3,380m), one of the ancient settlements with breathtaking views of Nanda Devi and surrounding peaks.

Explore the remnants of old Bhotiya houses and immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of the region. Night stay in Martoli.

Day 03 :

Martoli to Milam Village (Trek - 10 km, 3,450m)

Begin the trek early in the morning, carrying a packed lunch. The trail follows the Gori Ganga River, passing through vast meadows and small wooden bridges. En route, enjoy panoramic views of Hardeol (7,151m) and Trishuli (7,074m) peaks. Arriving in Milam village (3,450m) by early evening, settle down for an overnight stay in a homestay or campsite, experiencing the rustic charm of the last inhabited village on the trek.

Day 04 :

Milam Village to Milam Glacier & Back (Trek - 8 km, 4,250m)

An early morning start leads to the Milam Glacier (4,250m), the source of the Gori Ganga River. The trek offers breathtaking views of surrounding glaciers and high-altitude meadows (bugyals).

Spend some time exploring the glacier and enjoying the serene landscape before heading back to Milam village by early evening for an overnight stay.

Day 05 :

Milam Village to Rilkot (Trek - 13 km, 3,130m)

After an early breakfast, begin the return journey, retracing the path towards Rilkot. The long trek descends gradually, providing ample opportunities to soak in the natural beauty of the valley. Arrive in Rilkot (3,130m) by evening and settle in for an overnight stay.

Day 06 :

Rilkot to Munsiyari (Drive - 45 km, 3 hours, 2,200m)

Start the day with a scenic drive back to Munsiyari (2,200m). Enjoy the comfort of a hotel stay after multiple days of trekking. The evening is free for local sightseeing or relaxation.

Day 07 :

Buffer Day (Khaliya Top Optional Hike - 8 km, 3,500m)

This extra day serves as a contingency in case of delays during the trek. If unused, it can be utilized for an optional trek to Khaliya Top (3,500m), a panoramic viewpoint near Munsiyari known for its vast meadows and breathtaking Himalayan views. Return to Munsiyari for an overnight stay.

Day 08 :

Munsiyari to Kathgodam (Drive - 290 km, 9-10 hours)

A shared Bolero will transport you from Munsiyari back to Kathgodam, marking the end of the adventurous Milam Glacier Trek. Arrive in Kathgodam by evening for onward travel.
